Project Overview

I wanted a new logo for my food blog, Vegan Petite. I wanted it to look unmistakably me, to reflect simplicity, compassion, femininity, joy, and in some way – plants.

Process Summary

I looked for inspiration from my favorite food blogs. My husband helped me brainstorm several concepts. When I finally spotted a concept that I liked, I tried several variations on it until I found one that I wanted to use. At that point, I re-created it digitally using Adobe Illustrator.

Technologies used

  • Pencils & paper
  • Adobe Illustrator

The first round of brainstorming on paper. No holding back here, just letting it all out!

The “dot” for the “i” in “petite” – eat loving foods from the Earth!

The finished logo! It took a long time to figure out how to best connect the “g” with the “e” in Illustrator, but the effort was worth it.
